I’ve been feeling stressed out by this presidential campaign season. I’ve been addicted to consuming every political sound bite and it’s made me feel pretty low.
This week I disconnected from media. I went outside and took a walk in the woods. I went high, into autumn covered hills – where I wasn’t expected to choose between orange or gold. The leaves, the trees, the animals simply co-existed. As I went higher, I went back in time. I felt myself returning to sometime in 2015, before the campaign season started spinning – before my country was turned upside-down.
I’m casting my vote for Mother Nature.
I wish every American could disconnect from politics for the next four days and head outside.
