Who Would George Vote For?

A bust of George Washington is displayed in the entrance of the Vassall-Craigie-Longfellow House in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In July 1775 British occupied Boston and General Washington chose the Vassall House in Cambridge for his headquarters as he took command of the Continental Army. In March 1776, he celebrated the evacuation of the British army from Boston . . . the rest is well-known history.

A couple weeks ago, when I was touring the house George Washington occupied in Cambridge and encountered his bust, I couldn’t help but wonder if today’s nation resembles the United States of America that George fought for.
